This doesn’t include accidental damage which can lead to cracks or the dentures being broken (dentures can be repaired depending on the type of break). Overtime it’s important to know the bodies natural response to missing teeth is for the gums and bone to shrink away (known as bone resorption). This is when we reline the base to get it fitting to your mouth again (taking the changes into account). If your denture feels like it’s not fitting as well as it once was, you may need what is known as a denture reline. This will vary from patient to patient, but to put a time on your dentures we would generally advise between every 5-10 years they may need replacing. Please do not hesitate to call us today. We recommend booking a dental assessment with one of our dental professionals so we can assess your teeth and gums and discuss your options. Depending on your own personal circumstances will determine which treatments are the most suitable for you.
