    Software development is not an inexpensive proposition, which makes upfront design work a valuable endeavor for minimizing risks of missing requirements or client expectations, both of which are key to project success. While visual designs are helpful in software design, they usually do not represent the starting point for the design process. The old adage that a “picture is worth a thousand words” often holds true in software design and clients can more easily engage when they can see visual designs of their application.
