Our staff will assess how you’re healing at your follow-up appointment and this will determine how long you’ll have to wait. After a tooth extraction, you’ll want to wait six to eight weeks to be fitted for dentures. This allows time for the swelling to diminish and you’ll get a better fit on your dentures. Prior to getting dentures, we’ll perform any tooth extractions if necessary. We’ll send the information to a lab to create a plastic mockup of your new dentures. You’ll decide on the shade, shape, and size of your new smile. After the healing is complete, we’ll fit you for your restoration by taking an impression of your upper or lower arch.
